does no one see texas?
This is not okay. We can work together to change this, you guys. One step at a time.
Wow. This is so crazy. California is the highest, and I’m actually not surprised. After losing seven friends to suicide in four years, I’m not surprised at all with this statistic. And it hits way too close to home, especially because today is Lizzie’s fourth death anniversary. RIP Lizzie, always thinking of you.

I thought I’d make a disclaimer that everyone - to which it applies - is free to reblog.
I wanted one that would be neat and not so hard on the eyes with large, intense font or watermarks.

May you rest in peace, beautiful girl. I’m so sorry those people bullied you and couldn’t see your beauty and shining light.
This is why I have this blog. Anti-bullying. Suicide awareness. It’s a problem, and it needs to be fixed. I just lead an 8th grade retreat today, and as much as their cuteness and “outer layer” made me have so much fun and enjoy the day, their bullying and spreading of rumors disgusted me. People breaking down crying at the mentioning of one word? That’s not right. Bullying is not right, and we’re taught that it’s a normal occurrence at school. That’s why it’s so common. It needs to stop and be taken as seriously as any other dangerous, violent problem. Because, when ignored, it can end up being a violent tragedy.
Don’t become a statistic.
